Our UU values are needed now more than ever, which is why we are asking our  members and friends to commit to pledging. Your contribution will allow us to continue to provide a sanctuary for individual beliefs, encourage spiritual growth for all ages, and promote justice and peace throughout the world.

We know there are lots of worthy places in the world to donate your time and money, but at a community level, FPC is a critically needed welcoming place where people can find spiritual enrichment, an antidote to loneliness, a safe place for children to grow,  bereavement counseling and last but not least a place to turn when maybe you just need to talk to someone who knows how to listen deeply.

    How are funds spent?

    Your pledge supports and sustains Church operations and guarantees the continue work of our valued staff, as well as contributions to local and national Unitarian Universalist organizations. Click here to see our typical allocation of funds.

    How much should I pledge?

    How Much Is My Share?

    If you’re unsure about how much to pledge, consider using the Unitarian Universalist Association’s Fair Share Guide to Giving. This guide can provide a range of practical giving levels for making your pledge. It also recognizes that people have varying capacities to give, based on their resources and other financial responsibilities.

    How do I pay my pledge?

    Your pledge is for the full church year (July  to June ) and can be paid weekly, monthly, annually or at any interval you choose. You can fulfill your pledge by:

    1. VANCO ONLINE: https://secure.myvanco.com/YGP9/home
    2. CHECK – place your check (payable to First Parish Church) in the plate during a church service OR mail to the church – Attn: Treasurer, P.O. Box 1764, Duxbury, MA 02331. A note in the memo line stating “pledge” is helpful!
    3. AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS – A great way to pay toward your commitment is by setting up automatic payment through your own bank account (this costs the church little and provides steady income year-round). You can do that yourself through your bank or we can set up automatic withdrawals for you. Automatic credit card withdrawals can also be arranged.
    4. CASH – To have cash contributions applied toward your pledge, please place the cash in an envelope and mark with your name. Place the envelope in the plate or give to Lenore at the church office.
